Roland Dane having a whinge already, rules state you cannot drive outside the track limits, take his poll. Red bull get away wth far too much.
Give grizzly his due though, the boy can steer.

Addendum, he gor away with it, not much point having a rule book if it's not enforced.

Let's hope it's a god race with plenty of action and close racing.

They are still to give an official reason for no action but what was suggested to do one, they reviewed all ten and found possible other breaches and in the end decided to do nothing.

Not bad thought, first race of the season and questions already asked.  The yellow line he crossed over is a bit questionable itself.  Does the yellow line apply in racing, if not why should it be a factor in qualifying or a shoot out?

Doesn't count in racing because of the influence of other drivers on track position, can't shortcut chicanes etc due to sensors.
I would suggest more than one car did what Van Giz did, if that is the case they all should have been relegated.

Yes they were warned in the drivers briefing. Send them to the back of the grid. Or remove the stupid line. There’s a wall there FFS

You would think if the same rules that apply to the race should apply to qualifying and shoot out, instead of special rules for one lap.  Part of the stupidity of the rules.

Rules are rules, if 9 out of 10 crossed the line then the bloke who didnt should have had pole. They said they left it for the good of the sport...hmmm......I dodnt like silly rules but rules are rules and they were told about it and they chose to break it.

Who was the one who didnt cross the line, does anyone know?

Rolands response was gold, "Why have a line, I think the concrete wall makes a good track limit"

Understandable on circuit race but street race is different. I’m sure the Stewart’s brother in law must be a line marker. Only reason I could see there would be a yellow line.

Track lines are as important on street circuits as they are on a dedicated track, if not more so. In many areas the track limits are set to allow for run off areas for drivers and also access points for Fire Marshall, medical and recovery teams. Dedicated tracks generally have far greater fun off areas just to the nature of the track, street circuits are far more restricted due to structures.

The original protest came from Shell Ford against the Van Gizz Redbull car , but when the Redbull team run the replays and found the the #17 Shell Ford had crossed the yellow line with all 4 wheels as well , They "Shell Ford" pulled the protest . The Shell Ford team are very put out when another Team out preforms them .

Roland Dane gets a little put out too when Red Bull have a bad day.

Fact is multiple teams lodged a protest over SVG's lap, not just one.
The stewards decision was the wrong call. Yes it's stupid having a yellow line next to the wall, but all drivers were told in the briefing not to cross it.

The one driver who didn't cross the line should be peeved over the no action taken.

For Supercars to have any credibility this is what should have happened.

Channel 9 ran Rocky 1 on Saturday and Rocky 2 on Sunday against the V8 Super Squabbles.

Only seen the rocky stuff maybe 10 or 15 times before, but it was still better to watch.

I did flick to the racing during the ads for a while, but in the end, I just picked my toenails instead.
