It appears that the number one thing sticking in her parent's craw is:

"..for we are young and free"

YES WE ARE, a young nation of peoples from all over the world, that is inclusive of our indigenous bros and sisters..

National federation happened 1901, did it not...   A young and fresh nation in my books...

Just more P.C. stupidy. Not sure why it made the news, should have been handled in school only. In my day it would have the old 'off to the principal's office.'  Then he would select the cane.......  There were school rules and that was it, end of story.  Kevin
Luckily the schools aren't as draconian these days eh...  >:D

Think she is a product of their parenting disability, which matches their learning disability.   She wants to pick certain lines out that suit their twisted thoughts.

Advance Australia Fair  Referring to Caucasians only

For we are Young and Free  -  Excluding Indigenous as they are over 50,000 yrs old, not young.

They must have a hard time with the first line.

Australians all let us rejoice
For we are young and free
We've golden soil and wealth for toil
Our home is girt by sea
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia Fair

They would have a field day with the rest of the lyrics, if anyone every knew it.

When gallant Cook from Albion sail'd,
To trace wide oceans o'er,
True British courage bore him on,
Till he landed on our shore.
Then here he raised Old England's flag,
The standard of the brave;
With all her faults we love her still,
"Brittannia rules the wave!"
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands
To make this Commonwealth of ours
renowned of all the lands
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia Fair

While other nations of the globe
Behold us from afar,
We'll rise to high renown and shine
Like our glorious southern star;
From England, Scotia, Erin's Isle,
Who come our lot to share,
Let all combine with heart and hand
To advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

Should foreign foe e'er sight our coast,
Or dare a foot to land,
We'll rouse to arms like sires of yore
To guard our native strand;
Brittannia then shall surely know,
Beyond wide ocean's roll,
Her sons in fair Australia's land
Still keep a British soul.
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"
I doubt anyone would be standing up for all of that... LOL

Just to throw it out there,
Isn't it part of attending a school that you are agreeing to the standards, rules, principles of that school.
So the message that is sent to all students is,
If you don't like what the school is about I have a right to change it.

F'ing trailer plugs....who's idea was it to make different types >:(  dropped my Cruiser off this arvo to get some work done on the suspension, borrowed a mates 200 series for a few days to tow my trailer to work. Yesterday lunch time I checked with mate what trailer plug connection was on the 200, yep all good I have the adaptor I need already to get lights working 8) get home tonight in mates 200 and go to hook the trailer up, guess where the adaptor is?....yep, it's locked in the back of my Cruiser which is locked in a workshop on the other side of town >:(  did you know Bunnings sells a limited range of trailer gear?....neither did I until I was doing a search for nearby places that might. Trailer now has a new plug on it suit the 200, only cost just under $14 to which was a good result.

handy to have....the beauty of the new plug is that it was really well labelled inside it aswell as on the packaging regarding what wire goes where, 10 minute job to get tools out and R&R the plug. 8)

WTF?
No trolleys through the 'self serve area'...
Then how about opening some registers of the 16 at our local that are closed? If there are ever 2 open, it would be a miracle.

“Team members are available to serve customers with trolleys in the main lane registers, and if there is not one vacant the store can open a register to assist customers with their shopping.”
They're joking aren't they? Theres more swimming pools in the sahara desert than staff at our local.

They may have decided that they are hemorrhaging too much financial loss; when trolley loads of groceries are trucked into the selfserve (help yourself) bays?..

Where on occasions only partial loads of shopping is being scanned by the customer; or where items are being underscanned..  (Scan 3 of an item, when there's 4 sitting in the trolley...).

So the chains are ok with deleting staff, but now may only be ready to admit that the policy "is costing them" - by the trolley load...   LOL..

When I saw that some bright spark in at bunnys thought "Self Serve" checkouts would save them money on staff culling;  I just shook my head in bewilderment ..   (Lots of big ticket items in them green sheds)...

I hate the self serve checkouts and avoid them like the plague. Did our grocery prices go down when they culled staff so less overheads and did our grocery prices go down when they didn’t have to supply single use bags. I reckon that is a big fat no.

Also regarding the trolleys in the self serve area what about the elderly who won’t be able to carry a basket or the parent with a young child in the seat.

Ah, but do you still throw the bags away after paying for them? If the cost of the multi-use bags is an issue to people, they are obviously too tight to throw them away without getting their fair use out of them.
