Things may be changing for you Pete ??? :'(

Everybody stay safe up there :'(
That’s a bit north of us, but still keeping an eye on it.

You are right that things may be changing for me today.

I think I’ll cook this one in the camp oven with a coconut chili broth and a few fillets of fish that I pulled from the water about 45 minutes ago.... Just for a change.... ;) ;D

Watching a DVD we got many years ago [ I just found in a box of stuff  being sorted ] that has decent  early footage of travel on Fraser Island and blokes camping on the recently run aground Maheno  ..
Had fun pointing  out the landmarks to my youngest  showing her some of the areas we camp how they used to look .. The film maker mus have pretty well off back  in the day to have a movie camera and at a later stage colour film . The latest footage on the DVD was dated 2003 .
a mate was telling me recently about how him and his brother got yelled at by the Skipper of the Cherry Venture just after it had run aground....said they were swinging on the anchor chain and it was rocking the boat, so the Skipper came out from inside the boat and told them where to go....lol

now in NSW

https://www.macleayargus.com.au/story/5856113/oxley-highway-melting-drivers-warned/
MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Oxley Highway between Toms Creek and 85 kilometres west of Wauchope due to extreme heatwave conditions.

Walcha Council will use water from the Yarrowitch River in water carts to cool the bitumen pavement which is currently melting due to the extreme heat.
