Your a better man than me Keith, i refuse to watch either of those two turds. Thirty grand he got for that little display, then on the way out says he's going away to count his millions. Hope he chokes on his caviar

Tomic should never be invited to another tennis competition again. He's an a**shole.

Aircraft crashes are not usually amusing, but what made me smile was the official description of this Turkish aircraft accident (in which nobody was injured...except perhaps the pilots pride) .

Apparently it was not an accident. According to authorities, the plane  "had a runway excursion incident" as it landed.

Luckily their "excursion" didn't include any aquatic activities that day...

Be interesting to know how much money we actually paid to get Tomic where he is now with his millions of dollars he is counting.

l have a mate that comes from that way  . He has tried to explain to me just how you live with 6 to 8 Feet of snow in winter . How he would garage his good car  with a 100w light globe under the motor to stop freezing  solid  . Enjoy      ( Antifreeze )
Living with 6-8 feet of snow is not fun.
I used to have a block heater on all my vehicles. Goes in the lower radiator hose and keeps all the coolant warm.
Don’t forget the remote starter. Leave your defrosters on high then start the start the car from inside the warm house/office/waterver 15-20 minutes before your going to drive it. Then when you get outside it’s all warm and the snow has cleared for the windows.
I DONT miss the snow and cold at all.
Was minus 32F in my hometown for 2 weeks straight this year. Frig that!!!

I remember when I moved to Sth Dakota, we came into land at Aberdeen airport and everything inc the firetruck at the airport were buried in DEEP snow... wasn't confidence inspiring! As we drove into town the snow was higher on the sides of the road than the roof of the van we were in  ;D

but all the cars had power leads sticking out of the grill, and took me a few days of questioning to find out what they were for... It was the block heaters.

Someone who lives in Melbourne who says someone else has Shitty weather..... that's funny.

(We're not looking that far north in Illinois.)

Do some serious research before moving anywhere in the US.  I've spent a lot of time in the midwest and would never live there again.  If you like cornfields and Shitholes, than maybe it is the place for you.  That house you posted is the outskirts of St. Louis.  Only Detroit is more dangerous.

2. ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
> Violent crime rate: 1,913 per 100,000
> 2016 murders: 188
> Poverty rate: 27.1%
> Unemployment rate: 5.4%

There were 1,913 violent crimes per 100,000 residents in St. Louis in 2016, the second most of any city. One factor contributing to the high incidence of crime in St. Louis is gun-related homicide. St. Louis has the highest murder rate nationwide, and it has risen in recent years even as gun violence in other large, high-crime cities leveled off. There were 60 homicides per 100,000 St. Louis residents in 2016, more than 10 times the national homicide rate. One difference between St. Louis and other major metro areas is the city’s relatively permissive gun control legislation. Individuals, for example, are allowed to carry a gun in a car without a permit, an illegal act in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, and New York City, according to state laws.

A gambler at our work had a decent win of several thousands, then took his family to the pool complex, Even though we had 45+ Knot winds howling and swirling around the place it was hot and humid  ..
Toddler junior of the family decided to open up Dads wallet when the parents wernt taking notice and " BOOM" an EXPLOSION of  notes emptied the wallet,  Swirling and flying about like the best Ticker Tape parade all over and out side the complex ..
Some said notes swirled and flew higher than the two story buildings .. People were grabbing hand fulls of cash from everywhere ..
Not sure how much was recovered.. Reckon the gardeners will get a bonus this week when doing the hedges .  ;D ;D

We're spending 3 weeks in the US in July/August to suss the place out.
If we hate it.... we don't go any further.
If we like it..... we move forward.

I was aware of the 188 homicides, mostly all happens in one spot.  ;D

Just like any other country.
There are some incredible places to live and some crapholes.
July/August is middle of the summer, if you want the real experience go over in December/January
3 weeks won’t even give you clue if you like it or not unless you stay in one area.
