Have just been OS and managed to watch a couple of corkers on the plane:

The darkest hour - the story of Winston Churchill taking on the Prime Ministership during the height of WW2

LBJ - The story of him being appointed to POTUS following the assassination of JFK. LBJ is played by Woody Harrelson who does a great job.

Not a movie, but have just finished watching the 1st series of the new Lost In Space on Nextel.
At first it was a bit hard for somebody of my age who used to watch the old series all the time, but got interested and kept watching.
To me though, there will always only be one version of Dr Smith...the one you wanted to slap :)

edz

Didnt realize they have made a new series, Just watched the " Lost in space " movie the other day, Umm yeah wasnt a fan ..
And yep there is only One Dr Smith,  the one in the movie just wrecked it for me .

apart from the fact they are out of ideas, I dont know why they feel the need to remake great old series or movies..  9/10 times they **** it up

I watched 17:15 to Paris a couple of weeks ago but hadn't posted because I still don't know whether I liked it, or not.  A bit like watching golf on TV, a bit boring but somehow draws you in.

Watched Love and Mercy the other day. Its a Brian Wilson (aka Mr Beach Boys) bio.
Learnt alot about him and its well done, going between his later life and the late 60s when he started to lose it (and record one of the great all time albums Pet Sounds).
Don't have to be a Beach Boys fan to enjoy. Great cast including John Cuzak and Paul Giamatti. Was on SMS so may be able to catch on demand.

Cheers Glen

I'll have to chase that one up. Although I'm a '75 model I do like a lot of music that is not from my generation. Beach Boys, Elvis, Simon and Garfunkel etc. I was even listening to Miff Warhursts' show the other day and she P.P. Arnold on as a guest. Man, what a life she has lived. And that voice is just..........WOW.
Cheers, Mike.
2015 Mitsi Pajero. Dobbo MRR Lift, ARB Bar, MM4X4 Lock Up Mate, Intervolt DC Pro DBS, 12,000lb Mako winch. Bla Bla Bla.

I,m enjoying the ABC series   Mystery Road. Great Australian scenery, good actors and enjoyable.
Having lots of friends on farcebook is the same as having lots of money in monopoly...means absolutely nothing!!

aussie9

Have a look at "Killing Eve" on ABC catch up. The best series I have seen in a long time
Cheers
