What movie have you watched recently?

Went and saw " Danger Close "  the Long Tan battle movie this morning .. For a first showing, Only about twenty people in the theatre,  not a box office busting start..
All I can say is it falls short in its portrayal in a lot of ways . Its an ok movie that just didnt hit the mark for me though,  after reading / seeing the battle  documented over the years .
I reckon it portrays some people in a bad light and I dont reckon they or their relatives would be too happy ..But thats movie dramatic licence  ..

I dont really take much notice of movie reviews... much better to hear from non reviewers...

Rambo last blood .. Liked the first one way back, the 15 in between I couldnt watch, But reckon this last one was pretty Bloody good, yeah yeah predictable story line and all that,  but found it was enjoyable to watch ..
Maybe I identify with the Improvise Adapt Overcome and Persevere ending just a little

We went and watched the Oz movie, Judy and Punch at an independent cinema.
A bit off beat, 3 out of 5 for us.

Rocket Man - Elton John story was absolutly brilliant

John Wick 3 - Absolute rubbish no real story just fight after fight after fight that somehow he keeps on winning after going for 48 hours straight

Watched Angel Has Fallen on the weekend. Plenty of action but pretty lame plot which I guess is to be expected with most movie franchises.

My sister took me to see the new starwars movie (the first one by disney) a few years ago and was so dishartened by what i saw ive not watched another one since and ive loved every starwars ever made up untill disney ..... first one i saw was Starwars at the drivein in Rowville mum took me i was 7/8 been hooked ever since .....

It definitely wasn't that bad. My kids and I went to the premiere at midnight. They all enjoyed it.

I totally agree i watched Ad Astra the other night after reading all the oscar buzz a couple of months back....... absolute rubbish

For anyone who watches SBS World Movies, and doesn't need to see people getting shot every 5 minutes to enjoy a film - 'The Straight Story' is a ripper.

Same channel, for kids 5-14 or so - 'Operation Arctic'.

Was a 3 1/2 hr film. I watched it over 2 sittings.  Could see that some would think is slow. I didn't mind it. Would watch it again,  over 2 sessions.
