I am being told about an Amazon Firestick which allows you stream and watch basically anything on tv even sport. Has anyone tried it?

if you have a smart tv that you can connect to a web browser then 123movies.is is all you need, and the bonus of watching on your tv is that no tracking cookies...

Well being inquisitive I searched that link and it sent me to a big red screen and a message from Windows Defender- "This website has been reported as unsafe" so I didn't worry about the cookies  ???
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

We have Netflix. Kids and wife love it. Around $14 per month for 4 separate devices connected. I am 50/50 - there's heaps on it, but i find it frustrating when they dont have a whole series eg they will have Ironman 3 but not 1 or 2....
Its also amazing how many shows and movies they dont have, especially older stuff.

My daughter is over in the US now, the difference between the Netflix we get here & what the yanks have is huge, apparently they have a heap more available, makes our look substantially inferior.

Yes I've been told that. Apparently there is a way to get Amerivan netflix here, but from memory the person who told me suggested that the moral ethics of it were questionable ..lol

Apparently streamers like Netflix are the middlemen between you and the copyright holders of film so they have to negotiate the terms on user's behalf for various geographical regions and naturally it was US first. As they spread out to different countries the copyright holders want to extract the best returns and they're aware of different capacities to pay so Australians will pay more than say Malaysians on that score. While Australian and US capacity to pay may be similar, the US is a much bigger market with economies of scale and naturally more choice because more marginal films and series will still have a big market for them. If you're lucky enough to earn Aus or US incomes in places like Malaysia you've often got the best of both worlds in more ways than just Netflix. If not then naturally you want some of they're having  ;D

You used to be able to get around it with a VPN, but looks like they may have caught onto that...

Quote from: DrewXTWe use Exodus on Kodi... Haven't found a single movie or TV show episode we couldn't find and watch yet
I have Kodi and Exodus setup, but when I view by year it only shows 41 items on the pages for each year.. is that normal?
The search function can be touchy too not always finding what your searching for.
can you run multiple 'add ons' with Kodi so if one doesn't find it the next one might?

I've got Exodus and Phoenix, both do pretty much the same thing just different ways, Exodus gives you  information  about shows, Phoenix doesn't, Phoenix "appears " to have more movies but it's hard to tell.
You have to do searches on both individually for what you want.
If you want stick stuff you have to find the repositories and install them seperately
