Bit of rain around

Hmmm.... Apparently so.....

Believe it when I see it. ;)

Not sure if it was a flock of birds flying over having a whizz or you could call it rain, had to put the wipers on after about 5 minutes of spots on the windscreen .

Weatherzone forum hasn't been getting super excited about this event, so not expecting heaps from it here. Sounds like most places will get some rain, but the models don't really agree on how much where.

Looking at the radars it appears between Longreach and Barcaldine is getting a good rinse at the moment.

Isisford has recorded 171mm since yesterday.
And parts of the Channel Country have had between 50mm and 80mm in that time.
I hope everyone that's been suffering on the land in those parts gets what they need out of this event.

Would be fantastic to fly over that area and see nature doing it's thing out there once the rain clears.
I've heard from friends that seeing the channel country from the air when everything is flowing is just amazing.

Starting to get some decent rain in the upper reaches of the Darling River too so hopefully might get to see that flowing again.

The cottage tank has been overflowing all day and is inflowing to the front dam.  :cup:

same dump from here Mal, it pretty much tracked straight to the Southside..... not much lightning for us, but lots of rumble.

The first bit hit at 1am and then the 3am jobbie I mentioned.

I'm dying to go check the dams, but in the dark, i'll end up arse over and in one of 'em.

update...
The back dam is only a foot from full and going over.
The front one will take another 2 feet yet.

We got 28mm over a 3 hour period.
