« on: October 04, 2014, 10:13:38 AM »
5 Oct 2014 - Daylight Saving Time Starts
When local standard time is about to reach
Sunday, 5 October 2014, 2:00:00 AM clocks are turned forward 1 hour to
Sunday, 5 October 2014, 3:00:00 AM local daylight time instead

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on 5 Oct 2014 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.
Cheers

When you live in Melbourne & travel to Sydney, Brisbane & Perth weekly these different time zones become a nightmare, my days get very very long

For us Northern Rivers people who work in Qld it means;

I leave for work at 7am and get to the GC at 7am.

I leave for home 4pm and get home at 6pm

Well , that's easy. Get the NSW Grubmet to stop changing the time.

Just remember they are the ones causing the problem, nobody else.

And it doesn't save anything.

Remember, if you live in Queensland and want Daylight upheaval , you can always go back South. It's not an issue.

Cheers

Not really. He punctuated quite well and generally made sense.

The thrust of the comment not withstanding.

Amen brother!!!  Move all of  the foreigners back down south, they are the only ones who want daylight savings in QLD.  They move here from other states and then want to change QLD in to NSW.  >:D

I left my beloved QLD and worked in NSW for 18 years. Daylight savings may work well down south but I am so happy we don't have it up here in FNQ. I am sure that eventually we will be forced to have it because its inconvenient to the states that change their clocks.

I don't think it would be the worst thing to happen to qld. I start work at 6am and finish at 2 so starting at 5am and finishing at 1 just gives me more time to tinker in the shed
