Plaster of Paris bandages for making casts

Does anyone know where to get cheap the plaster impregnated bandages they use for making casts when you break your arm/leg etc??
Anyone got access to some for beer? :)

Its for a model I'm making

Had a neighbour in Rosanna that turned his whole backyard into a model railway. It was massive and to scale.

Yup, G scale (Garden).. Plenty of them around.. Im into N Scale, 1:160

My current layout.. although this photo is from 2006, but now all the track is laid, and wiring nearly finished.. Trains will run around it completely...


Planning the scenery now. I Dream of it looking like Paul's layout above, but that bloke was "GOD" - everything hand built, locos, wagons, the mill that actually works - everything is FULLY functional for day/night running.

Bruce when I was a kid I made a few military dioramas and had a train set. A plaster guy gave me a recipe for making a mix that was a bit more flexible than the normal and it worked really well. SFA use to you cause I can't remember the mix lol. Bit we just dip the cloth or what ever in that.

Couldn't you just buy some plaster and cheese cloth? Mix up the plaster and then dip strips of the cheese cloth through it and apply.

What about chicken wire and paper mache. It's about all the newspapers are good for.

Ready Mix in 5m3  lots will sort out most problems . 2 m3 for the Mother in Law  , then the rest of the family  :cup:

l tried that but after 3m3 she was still talking & floating  . Not that lm saying she was /is fat & a wind bag  , & the greatest source of natural gas known to man  . BUT  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:             :angel:

If your model broke and arm or leg couldn't you just hot glue or melt it back together like broken Leggo arm?
The plaster roll looks a bit chunky to put a cast on a 1:160 scale Fat Controller.
