Hi swaggers,

June/July holidays coming up,

Just thought we are counting down our sleeps until our trip as we are so excited.( 42 sleeps )
Who else is counting sleeps and where are you heading?

We are heading up to do the gulf up to mataranka then down to Alice/Uluru and them home to Sunshine Coast via the plenty. 5 weeks yeh

Wherever you are going enjoy every minute of your trip.

Probably taking the boat over to South Stradbroke Island and camping a few nights in the tent. It's hard when you have to try and split time in the boat and time in the Swan becuase I can't tow them both at the same time! Its a tough life but I'm sure I'll manage 8)

Argyle, we too have the problem boat vs camper but usually the camper wins. But on weekend trips we sometimes take 2 cars. ;D

Mlacolm Tugless, yes you are lucky no school holidays. Funny thing was my hubby said to me when our youngest left school yeh no more school holidays, I looked at him strangely and he said what!!!! I work in a school silly. ???

McGirr, your backyard you are so lucky enjoy the trip :cheers:

Spada, you are only 5 days after us we might cross paths somewhere , we too are doing lorella, and roper bar. Can't wait. :D

Agreed rumpig. Totally cool. Great video. I'll be happy if it looks half as good.  Challenge is coping with the heat as koshari said, yet wearing enough to protect you in the event of a spill. ....

I'm thinking of 2 trips in the school holidays.
Straddie, (Wife's plan), or Fraser (My plan, 1st time in 20 years).
Then another trip after visit home to hit the washing machine, but not sure where yet.

Got an important count down first, 18 sleep till I leave Scotland for home......

So Sweet. I did the karakorom pass from china years ago on a old bmw. Awesome stuff. No fancy cameras then.

Have fun. Heat no prob, but carrying enough to be  warm whilst riding at 15000+ feet is a different story. Plus the good old altitude headaches. Take plaenty of nurofen :)

Thanks for the tip re altitude headaches.  Would rather do it on an old boxer but enfields are the only option.
Will add to nurofen to my monster gasto pack....
