I heard about this type of thing at the launch of crossed up 4x4 club (who were there).

Great idea, hopefully National Parks will give those clubs that attend these events special access/permits.

up date
The Gardens Of Stone Event Video has been linked on the NPWS website. This is a great achievement and I would like to say THANK YOU again to all that were involved..

http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/gardens-of-stone-national-park and click on the “why you should visit” tab where you will find a link under Working with the Community sub-heading.

similar stuff is happening here in Qld with the 4wd association and clubs working together with National Parks. The club i'm in aswell as a couple more has been doing work in Plunkett Reserve at Logan, twice now in recent months these clubs have helped to fence areas off in the resrve for rehabilitation purposes. We've been told we'll be granted future access to this area for driving in which is currently offlimits to anything other then pedestrian foot traffic, people on horses and push bikes. Having driven some of the reserve myself on Clean up Australia Day, it's definately worth getting future access into for  8)
