Today I learned that, if you put a load of Deep Heat ointment onto a sore knee, it's a good idea to wash your hands before having a pee.

Some years ago ,  I did something similar . But it was not deep heat .
I had picked a s#!t load of birdseye chillies at one of the quarries that I was doing blasting at, during the drive home , ( about 1 1/2 hours in total ) I need a pee . The last 1/2 of the drive home was very uncomfortable .

Only thing I know that releaves it would be Milk.  But it can still work at the other end of its travel too.
Burning Ring of Fire comes to mind.  Great Song that.

Couple of days ago, I needed to remove a screw from a hunk of hardwood on a sort of deck thingy.

Fully charged cordless, Phillip's head bit in it, on my knees, cordless in my right hand and gave it to it.
My left hard, was spread out to brace me, picture a 3 legged dog position.
Got plenty of weight on the cordless so the the thing wouldn't jump out of the screw.
My thumb, was fairly close to the screw.

The screw snapped and went ping and the spinning Phillip's head bit landed right in my thumb tip.
With a death grip on the cordless, the tip dug itself under the nail and proceeded to mash up my thumb.

IT HURT.

No matter how careful you are, don't put your fingers near a spinning tablesaw blade. Found out the hard way about that yesterday. Luckily i just knicked the finger and at worse may not grow back about half of my finger nail. Could have been a lot worse tho.

WDILT?

It takes 35hrs to charge a totally flat 12v 120ah battery with my 3.5A charger.

After approx 12 hrs charging with little result I needed to check.

If after 35 hrs battery is not charged a new battery will be purchased.

Some chargers will not charge a dead flat battery. Some chargers need to see 'X' amount of volts before they will kick in. I have heard of some people hooking up a good battery to the dead one via jumper leads to trick the charger.  My Matson charger will charge from dead flat.

Yep before you junk the battery, take it to a decent auto sparky and get him to put his Big Thumper battery charger on  it ..Had a couple of batteries that were dead flat and wouldnt take a charge ... Sparky got them back to about 85% which was fine for the camping we did .

I have a funny story about deep heat and i will keep it as clean as possible..

Few years ago my step brother must of been around grade 8 seen a bottle of deep heat so i explained how it was used with sore muscles etc but i also pointed out how it says "quick relief" and i thought he knew i was taking the piss. So it was his bed time.. 5mins later.. we all hear this screaming near crying he comes running out my d### its on fire! And he went running to the shower. His mum wasnt that happy but we all seen the funny side he did to haha

No Cruiser. It was a call for a very quick shower.
Then don't try this stuff it makes Deep heat look like an ice pack... having a shower reactivates it..  :'( :'( :'(

Been using this for years now. Rapigel   Horse ointment. Works wonders. Started using it about 10 years ago after shoulder surgery.

Channel 7 did a thing about it years ago.

That my body doesn't recover from huge punishing efforts at the velodrome for the QLD State Masters Titles but in saying that. I did get a silver and bronze medal. The silver for the Team Sprint and bronze in the Individual M7 Sprints + a PB for the flying 200mtr qualifying for the Individual Sprints since I made the return to racing after 34yrs away.  ;D

Put some of the Finalgon on my back about 2 hours ago.  Still very warm...makes deep heat look very tame.
