That when you are on your way home, and come up behind a car doing 60 in a 100 zone, that even though there is a 2km line of traffic behind you, just take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery.

But serious, how hard is it for them just to pull over for a minute?

A great track which will test most vehicles, did you cross the rivers and go up Caledonia?

GG
yeah GG, we camp alongside the river just before the Butcher link rd. It started to rain about 5am so we thought it best to get out of Dodge seeing as the Triton is bog stock with Dunlop Aquaplane ATs. Clawed our way back up easy enough though, Gotta tell ya though...it is one of the most scenically beautiful places I have had the pleasure of visiting in a long while.

That hill out of Butcher Country in the wet with road tyres would have been interesting :)

Yep. saw that slippery clay section on the map. That's why we back tracked up the Dingo Hill track. Might have been a bit cheeky to try the Butcher Country one

On my recent trip to Central Australia I learnt that it's hard to get a connection on my Iridium sat phone around 5pm because all the mining companies upload their data at that time.

Over the last week I learnt that long haul truck drivers are the most polite and considerate drivers out there - ON DUAL LANE FREEWAYS.

Once they hit two way traffic a switch is thrown and they become moronic impatient butt holes.

I did then entire hume/pacific from st kilda to the tweed in my poor old 2.2 rodeo.  Fully loaded or empty 90k's is the go.  Up the dual lanes they were considerate and we all worked in together well.  I kept left up the hills and flashed them to pull back in.  Once the dual lanes ended twice I was forced onto the break down lane as the twats overtook during the merging section.  Watched them sit up the a$$ of vans and other motorists doing the speed limit and flashing their lights.

Learn some patience morons.  Funny thing was they never got much away from me I just got to watch them try and kill others.  Morons.

Relearned why when I leave the shed  to turn off the gas on my welder.
I meant to get a drink of water and get back into it but got side tracked.
20 minutes later I walk back into the shed to see the hose from regulator to welder busted and brand new bottle of gas empty.
$38.00 down the drain.

Not to rely on the wording on a pack of metal self tappers that says " self drilling ", broke 3 drill bits while screwing the palings to the new steel gates i made yesterday.
And my shoulders are aching from leaning in to the driver while trying to "self drill" the little effers.
