Over the last few days I learned the real value of local CFA volunteers. Without them we would probably be homeless. I always knew they do a great job but I know now that it is more than great. Thanks for doing an important job for nothing other than the appreciation of those you have helped.

Would you really... can't remember but didn't they find about 5kg of pot...........not that heavy when your carrying a heap of crap after getting off a plane....I reckon it was the sister...but I still can't work out why take pot to indo....it  just doesn't make sense.
It was hydroponiclly grown which is about 10x more powerful and worth about 10x what Bali pot is worth.
Had it gotten through customs someone stood to make a small fortune.

9 years later she made a small fortune and the pot didn't get through customs.

$2m for an interview.  9 years in prison, lets see, that's over $200k a year.  Not a bad income!

Yeah, it adds up ok at that, but I reckon the sex in jail would've left a nasty taste in the mouth.  ;D

Turning it into a circus when she first got done was her downfall. She should have kept quiet copped it on the chin (probably a much lesser sentence) done a year in jail and then quietly asked if she could commute her sentence by the way of a fine or donation and she would have been out years ago

Once the whole familu made a spectical out of it the judge had no other choice. Im not saying it is the right way but it is a smarter way.

done a year in jail

Not in an Asian country for drug trafficking. Prosecutors were pushing for death.  20 years, reduced to 15 and out after 9 is the Australian equivalent of a 3 month suspended sentence.
Yet if you mastermind a terrorist attack you get 2 years with red carpet treatment...

I have learnt that no matter what hard work and dedication will reward you.  ;D
Long story cut short, In 2011 I was medically discharged from the ADF due to a very severe shoulder injury.
It was bad enough that 2 years after surgery I wasn't able to lift my arm above my head, nor was I able to pick up my son who was recently born at the time with out an incredible amount of pain.
Since discharge I have started my rehab again at the start and worked closely with a physio, local doctor and my surgeon in sydney day in and day out to get more range of movement back.
I started working again a few days a week at a local autoparts shop in sales and fitting mid last year and feel great.
I had an appointment with my surgeon the other day for my annual checkup and he was amazed with how far I had come. So much so that he has recommended that I can now go back to work in the ADF.
My physio has recommend that I can a few weeks ago, and I just got back from my local Doctor. Who has now filled out the last report to state that I can go back to work.

So It looks like 2014 will be the year of career changes for myself and some more moving for my family, but I couldn't be happier.

So all in all, not trying to bignote myself, but more to let everyone know that anything is possible. When I tore my shoulder apart I was told even with surgery I would be lucky if it retained 20% useability. I am now back to 99.8%  :cup:

Biggest advice I can give is take your time. Don't rush rehab.
If I hadn't of rushed through the initial rehab I probably would have been back at work within 2 years rather than it now being nearly 5.
Best of luck mate, if you think you can you will.  ;D

I've learnt that women are never happy.

The other day, we were walking past a swanky club and my wife said, "did you smell that food, it's fantastic"

I replied, "yeah, it's pretty good, you've been good lately, do you fancy a treat?"

She replied, "yes please"

So I walked her back past it again.

Women, I'll never understand 'em.  ???

After a 10 klm bike ride in the bush, today I learnt my body isn't 23 anymore :o

I also learnt, if you don't have the ground wire connected on a Surepower dual battery solenoid it doesn't work (it wasn't my Prado...)  :P

I learnt after a cruise down the Dingo Hill track north of Licola, my new Triton appears to be quite fond of a scratch on the belly. Time for a lift me thinks,

A great track which will test most vehicles, did you cross the rivers and go up Caledonia?
