I have learnt that no matter what hard work and dedication will reward you.

Long story cut short, In 2011 I was medically discharged from the ADF due to a very severe shoulder injury.
It was bad enough that 2 years after surgery I wasn't able to lift my arm above my head, nor was I able to pick up my son who was recently born at the time with out an incredible amount of pain.
Since discharge I have started my rehab again at the start and worked closely with a physio, local doctor and my surgeon in sydney day in and day out to get more range of movement back.
I started working again a few days a week at a local autoparts shop in sales and fitting mid last year and feel great.
I had an appointment with my surgeon the other day for my annual checkup and he was amazed with how far I had come. So much so that he has recommended that I can now go back to work in the ADF.
My physio has recommend that I can a few weeks ago, and I just got back from my local Doctor. Who has now filled out the last report to state that I can go back to work.
So It looks like 2014 will be the year of career changes for myself and some more moving for my family, but I couldn't be happier.
So all in all, not trying to bignote myself, but more to let everyone know that anything is possible. When I tore my shoulder apart I was told even with surgery I would be lucky if it retained 20% useability. I am now back to 99.8%

Cheers
