Got COD Blackops 3 today...

3 gig update to begin with, and about 30 odd mins to install (I lost track while doing other Shit).... But I did pre-order mine and got all the extra goodies and maps and shiznit...

Cammo is playin Zombies, that doesn't interest me, I like the multiplayer gig online.

I know you got it!  I just logged in and saw you on it lol. I might be back to destiny later tonight

JB HiFi Online have just delivered on behalf of Santa for my two boys. I'll sneak it out tomorrow and commence the setup whilst they are at school.

This is a great idea,  it will need a load of updates.

However,  I would also take it out a week or so prior to Xmas if possible.  It's likely that every game & console will need more updates then too.  That said,  it shouldnt stop them from being able to play single player games.  Just perhaps not online.

Also,  if you have not already make sure you catch the new free with gold game 'Knight Squad' I reckon it's a great casual game to play with friends both old & young.

I heard a rumour that the xbox can handle up to 8 controllers?  It appears as though Knight Squad supports this.  That could be a whole lot of fun!

So the Santa  is bringing the family an Xbox one for Xmas. I decided to 'test it' before Xmas to make sure it works.

Turn it on. Update to console required 1GB
Then controller update required - not sure how big
Install Halo 5. - 14GB update required after install.
Gave up and Put it back in the box

Then to top it off we were going to sell the Xbox 360 only to see that Aldi are selling them in their next specials for $169.

True that - Halo is sitting at 20%. I gave up after 2 hours and put it away.

LOL - found out my issue. Had it connected to the network via a cable and it was still very slow. Have since discovered that the cable has a fault (loose connection at the plug)   :-[   So it was competing for Wireless bandwidth with all the other devices.

Changed the cable over and it went off like a wounded bull. Final 40% done in about 15 minutes.. So its all ready for Xmas day - all up to date, all games for gold transferred over, all the kids profiles sitting in the cloud ready to copy across, and I may have had a sneaky hour or two on Halo... :)

Sweet... That's a major win, specially when your kid is playing online!!

How did you find the new Halo?

Building a PC for mates son for xmas... he wants it for Fallout 4 which is going mad apparently... sad thing is I cant download the updates for it as they are on "STEAM" ... the Patches are not available separately :(

This thread made me laugh. I remember getting myself the one  for xmas last year I think. Came with forza. I was all excited and then spent the whole day downloading the game and updates. What a downer. Literally haven't played it for 8 months due to going to university now as a 30yr old and a new baby. But decided to pull it out last few days over the xmas break.

Wow do I suck at mutilpayer shoot them up games like cod b lol
I thought geez these guys are pro. They I turned on chat and they were literally all 10 year olds. Lol. Boy do I feel old and uncoordinated......

I've only played the first chapter of Halo but so far I am liking it. Its pretty much the reason I bought the Xbox One. I'm a bit of a sucker for the series since playing the first Halo with my brother on the original white Xbox. Out side of COD and HALO I don't really play FPS though.  I'm more a GTA/Assassins Creed player.

Just finished the 'Hunt the Truth' podcasts which were really good, though if you've watched any of the Halo: fall of reach animated series you're probably not going to be as surprised as I was.

Literally haven't played it for 8 months due to going to university now as a 30yr old and a new baby. But decided to pull it out last few days over the xmas break.

Same - no time, work, Uni, 3 kids...

My kids are way more co-ordinated than I am - LOL

Yeah I can't play those sport games, nba, Fifa etc. don't get it so what ever reason.

If you do PC gaming at all, look up a game "spin tyres" on YouTube.  Man, it's a way to waste a few hours in a night.  4x4 game..

Just rediscovered JetPac on the Rare replay disc that came with the Xbox one. I was awesome at this on the ZX spectrum. It did seem easier when I was 8 though.  My reactions are not what they used to be. Welcome to middle aged gaming. :)

I bought myself, I mean the kids and XBONE for Christmas and have had to send the thing back to Microsoft because the wireless remotes kept dropping out.
What else am I supposed to do in the wet season? Lucky the weather has been nice.
