When we are towing I do all the driving as my Wife doesn’t feel comfortable towing. I have confidence in her ability and know if I got sick she would drive, but no use pushing her is she isn’t comfortable.

Even when we aren’t towing I do 90% of the driving and that’ just because I like driving and she is happy to be a passenger.

My wife drives all the time with or without the trailer , i drive for a living so it's a nice change to sit in the passenger seat .

the wife does a little driving on the road with the 9MTR van, however she does most of the "parking" with my instructions.
Funny a guy came up to me the other day in a park and was stunned the wife was reversing and parking the van whilst i was providing instructions via the UHF... (i.e yeah left hand down 2mts back!)...

We seem to have it down pat..

Mine tried to do the towing but I couldn't find anywhere to attach the hitch, tried welding it to her butt however she can run faster than I   ;D ;D ;D

I tend to do most of the driving, mainly cos I enjoy it.
On long trips we will swap every so often, and she has no problems with towing the CT. It doesn't give me much rest though as I'm a bit of a nervous passenger (read: likes to be in control!!) ;D

That's the wife and I to a tee ;D  Erin also deals much better with the kids demands from the back seat than I do when I am passenger.

OMG I could have sworn Weso wrote this! Lol   I even asked him if the post was his when it showed up quoted by another swagger lol

Back to the topic - I do drive to give him a rest but he is a painful passenger and prefers to do most of the driving himself

On longer trips we both share the driving.Probs 60 to 40. As for reversing I had my first lesson yesterday in the backyard with camper on , did'nt do too bad if I say so myself.

My wife has done an 11 hour stretch from the Holland track all the way back to Perth when I ended up with a rather bad dose of gastro and she did a bloody brilliant job. She's rather relaxed but told me she was $#!!(%g herself the whole way lol.
Absolute and total faith in her abilities and now i can have a rest when required.

My wife occasionally drives if I need a rest, but not at all when towing.

Mrs scarps as a rule is not the main driver and that's a bit more about confidence in towing than anything.
On this return trip from Bris to Melbourne, I've driven Bris to Sydney and mrs scarps will alternate every 2 hrs between Sydney and Melbourne.

Same, except I've learnt to resign myself to my fate so that I can have a nap.  I figure I'll either wake up or not.  Either way, I won't be stressed.

My wife, Amy, does ALL the driving , literally.  My eyesight is shot, so don't have a licence.

We have done two trips around Aust. (+30.000kms each) lots of remote desert trips, and even OTL. All done with a fully laden Cruiser and camper.

Amy is amazing, and incredibly capable. I am very lucky, and very proud of her.

Thing is, she would have never done it if she didn't have to, but as with anything, practice and doing it has meant she can.
