Yes, you can hardly expect to start a discussion thread on such a topic and have it confined to the content of that OP. I'm afraid that just as someone else advised CRW, if you don't like the direction the discussion is headed in then just tune out. There does seem to be a tendency for some members to think they have some kind of "ownership rights" to a thread and its content because they started it, but correct me if I am wrong but I thought this was a domain of free speech & thought, and all are welcome to add as they see fit.

This statement may have been true 6 months ago, but be fair: the elec section has been a far happier place since one particular agitator was shown the door!!
