Yeah, we were up there on Monday to do the final inspection on our new place, and got to see sun, but back in Forster due to delayed settlement on our place in Melbourne, and it's pissing rain here too

Let's see - weather in Melbourne today 29 with a light breeze and sunny skies. Tomorrow 33, Monday 30. Problem is I don't know whether to go to the beach or the Aust Open. It's hard living in the no.4 city in the world where the weather is perfect most of the time and there are so many choices. Brisbane was no. 37 I think in the same survey.

It's not too late Drew. If you are being messed around by buyers / lawyers / banks - tell em all you've changed your mind and turn around. The red necks north of the border will drive you nuts.

Must admit, I'm sweating my balls off today, but once we're acclimatized, I'm sure it'll be good.... and once I've worked out how to minimise the cane toad entry into our yard - we didn't realise those bastatds were in the suburbs, and don't want the dog making friends with too many of them

Down in in Thornlands on an acre and a half - took us ages to find a house we liked - nearly 18 months

Unfortunately, they're everywhere

We used to have lots, but I started working on the theory of killing every one of them we spotted in our yard, & they're now a rarity here!

They've already worked out there's a new sherriff in the house - got over 30 on the 2nd night here, then 15, last night it was 3 - not keen on our border collie getting one, so being vigilant at the moment
