Ocean Beach, Bribie Island.

This water spout was heading toward our camp, but petered out, thankfully. I reckon the agitated water at its base was a hundred or so, metres across.

Had a mate used to sail on the South Passage, out of Manly, sometimes down to Sydney, other times up North.

He showed us a photo he took one day out at sea with 3 of the things visible at once!

Not good if you're on a sailing ship!

Aratula Hotel, closed at the moment for renovations,  due to open by next weekend . Here for a couple of nights, then to Kalbar Showgrounds for next weeks blood test and check up at cancer centre.
Up to Toowoomba next weekend to get my low power issues sorted.

Bush camp named Lakeview, just north of Beachmere, QLD. $8.50 pp for an unpowered site, which is really good value for the school holidays launch weekend coming up. Only down side is having to book through Hipcamp (yank business) which added 1 1/2 night worth to the 4 night booking fees.
