Was given a newer jvc car stero with usb, so I went to install it.
Pulled the dash apart, found it had the wrong plug, wrong mounting bracket  >:D
Screwed it all back together.

7 hours on the Caddy today, cleaning Shit up, cutting new rubber splash guards for the lower aprons, getting stuff ready for some new black paint in the engine bay. Priming and painting pulleys, brackets and stuff.

I turned 57 today, Shit, i'm not as fast at this stuff as I use to be....yet other things, i'm getting quicker..... :-[

Kinda shed related, this used to be a lock-up storage room on the side of the garage. I'm now slowly turning it into a 2nd bathroom.

Anyway, this was the job left by the plasterers, nice guys and did great work on the rest of the job, pity they just chucked all of the off cuts around the bath.

So the professionals used 7 separate pieces of FC sheet around the tub and given this is an island bath I wasn't too confident in how water tight this would be over time.
But rather then call them back to redo it (which I'm sure they would have done) I figured I'd just have a crack at it my self.

Not a bad bit of sheeting for a dumb boily I recon... ;)

they probably didn't get to concerned as the lot needs to be waterproofed now anyhow, but doing it in one piece is the better option really....less chance of leaks forming if you lose the joints.

Yeah the waterproofer wasn't too impressed when he came to do his quote last week. He didn't really like all of the joins, but said it would probably be ok.
He was mostly concerned that they only put the sheets about 5mm under the edge of the bath (the bits actually finished right on the edge at some places) and he wants to run an alloy angle edging around there before he seals it up.
Now he's got a 60mm surface under the edge of the bath to work with and I know I don't have to stress about leaking joins in the years ahead.

That's been my plan - I was hoping that the biggest would get enough purchase in the rounded allen head, but it didn't so I ended up removing the end of it inadvertedly. After that I drilled down with the smallest one, and using that as a pilot hole the next size up... I'll continue to drill to that larger size and try that instead of the smallest one.

Thanks for the pointers; those snap on ones look a lot eaiser to use than the ones I have...
With the rounded cap screw it pays to put a punch on the head of the bolt and give it a good whack with h a hammer. It springs the bolt and will help loosen it

Chops mounted on their new stand. Just need to sheet the base. No more looking for something to clamp the horses to. Sheer luxury

If the photo was taken a couple of hours before this you would have wondered if there was a floor at all. Shoved it all out the door to make some space  ;D

Broken from the October storm last year and was way too small.

Rule 2, refer to rule 1 :cup: :cup: That's even with the misses ok  :cup: she wants to be able to flip the camper over in the shed. 4.5 meters high here we come  :D

Fitted some pro rack roof bars to the Ranger and mounted up the awning. A little mucking about, but happy with the result.

Agree a man's shed can never be too big, but your misses rationale could be a bit of a concern? Is this so you have somewhere to bunk when in trouble Bad Scott?
