My man tony down in the man cave as I type replacing the shocks and springs on the patrol.  He loves his hoist and air rachet ;D cheers rellbell

He finished that job, god he's good and then he fitted the tyre sensors to the trailer tyres. He got  to use his high lift jack, what a man.  I so proud :-*. Cheers rellbell

What did I do today?

Nothing!

Much to the wifes dissapointment, I spent the day on teh couch doing nothing, taking it easy and generally being lazy.

Some days it just has to be done.
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

LOL Just what the world needs, is another back yarder building sliders and tube bars ;)

Problem with them is they are so time consuming to build. I spent the best part of 10 hours yesterday just to do the metal work. Ill no doubt spend up to another 10 hours during the week making it all pretty and presentable. It may not have taken so long if I was using all new steel, but I was using off cuts and scraps so it made the job a bit longer and messier.

Anyway add up time, steel,  consumables, and finishing it nicely, it probably owes me close to $800 if I had to pay myself!

I did think about adding to the 'back yarder world' but Id have to make half a dozen of them at once I think to keep them affordable........so I quickly decided not to do it ;)

No not yet but I have always only kept the original sized tyre on the back so maybe that has helped?

Jimmy, when about half way through I said to Brony that I could get Lost to model it as a suspenders belt if he had to do the 'nude up ' thing to dissuade others vfrom camping too close to our group next weekend.
Now THAT would be a definite case of  :worthles:  !!!

When is a back yarder not a back yarder?? I was thinking about that as i was making  my trailer..

I have a welding operators certificate and a registered trailer repair business name, but i have a workshop at home that i use for trailer work.. It was built mainly to work on trailers...

As i sell and repair  trailers here am i classed as a back yarder or what??

nah mate, a back yarder is an unqualified person doing the job for money at his home.  Probably a bit harsh calling a qualified tradesman a backyarder ;)

Although when I was younger I used to paint cars at home for extra cash, and as a qualified person I still considered myself to be back yarding because I was doing it for cash away from my actual work!
