Been there a couple of times and for a park it is pretty good and you can spend the time there.  Having lived in Yamba though I know a few special spots to go to

Been three times great spot that gets full every school holiday period.

Yes, i can vouch for Blue Dolphin Motor Camp as have stayed there a couple of times now, the last time we used one of the ensuite cabins. Staff were friendly and the camp has it's own boat ramp. While you're down that way and if you get time a short trip into McLean is worthwhile as it's a quaint little town with a very Scottish flavour and a trip to the top of the hill in the middle of town will give you awesome views

Cheers

I was lucky enough for a fellow, that I never new prior to staying  there, offer to take me out for a morning fishing trip flicking soft plastics. I think I caught 7 keepers and released 3 more.

My previous experiences with soft plastics were relatively uneventful, but this trip gave me renewed hope.

I think the Clarence River is still a reasonably healthy waterway so is always good to pack a rod or two.

The sites are not cheap, we paid over $110/night for a waterfront Ensuite site for a family of 4. Rates are a lot lower outside of the school holiday period.
