Forum Upgrade
« on: October 10, 2012, 11:17:03 PM »
Hi Everyone,

So we've finally moved. Although things aren't working 100% there is images, and links etc playing up, these will be sorted out.. Please note there has been a number of changes to help us facilitate growth and extra security etc.. I've listed a few below.

Please access the forum via www.myswag.org, I will remove all other URL's we used in the transition probably over the weekend. The forum will sit at www.myswag.org.

1) The forum is now located only at http://www.myswag.org    (Note: there is no /forum anymore, and http://myswag.org doesn't currently work.)
We are going to be introducing sub domains (gallery etc, for those that use it.. will make things alot cleaner..)

2) there is currently no gallery. It's coming, but it requires a different subdomain and tidy up process. This will happen over the coming 3-4 days. The gallery will be located at  http://gallery.myswag.org

There's alot of people linking to the old gallery. unfortunately, we are going to need to manually change these. The direct URL links, need to be setup, so i will get the gallery running and then you can fix it all up.

In general i think most things are running now. I'll keep everyone updated, there is still lots to do on the server, email, backups etc.. But it is past midnight, so time to hit the bed...

See you soon.

Everyone,
Just FYI we have just kicked off the DNS change (backend) from the USA to AU.. In theory.. (yes in theory) and technically this should make no difference to anyone, as the DNS records have not changed. But just giving everyone a heads up that it is happening..

Cheers
