First live gig was either The Stranglers at the palais in St Kilda, very scary for a group of three 15 year olds as everyone else was 25+ punks.

Or Hunters & Collectors at The Venue in St Kilda when they recorded The Way To Go Out

First album I bought was The Clash - Combat Rock. First album I was given was Kiss -Dynasty

1. what was the first live band everyone went to see?

Mainly by accident - Judy Jaques and the Yarra Yarra Jazz band in Broadmeadows Town Hall.

2. what was the first album you brought with you own money?

No idea why I purchased "Thunder N Lightning" by Hoyt Axton.  It was cheap?  Awful music....

But Sunbury '72, '73, '74 and Mulwhalla festivals live on......
It's not the arrow, it's the archer.

Redeemed myself with my next purchase - Alice Cooper, Welcome to my Nightmare.

Just to make all you Heep fans jealous, I saw them again last April at Enmore Theatre.  They are still a great band to watch.

Pipeliner

1.  Joe Brown and the Bruvvers at the Granada, Maidstone in 1963

Camping is great as long as the mattress is inner spring!

I was a late starter to my first concert but it was Pearl Jam at the burswoord dome in 2003 and I was 22 at the time

I'm not 100% sure what my first album was but I think it was soundgarden -  bad motor finger

I think for the younger ones that second question will need to be changed from, "the first album you brought with your own money" to "the first album you illegally downloaded when you where paying for the internet connection" ;D
