Not sure if this has been raised before but have you thought about MYSWAG Mud Flaps? I thought about it as I plan on putting extra flaps on various locations around my camper and I didn't particularly want boring black ones and so far I have found nothing else that really suites our family.
Another one I am not sure if it has been raised is what about a MYSWAG Rubbish bag??? I plan to order a wheel cover eventually, My only issue is as soon as we are on the road it will be covered by our rubbish bag.
The mud flaps have actually been looked into by one of our Members and they certainly aren't cheap. It's not something we can do in bulk either (to lower the price) as everyones mud flaps are different shapes/sizes etc. However, if you forward the dimensions of your mud flaps to me via pm (and a quick sketch if you think necessary) I would be more than happy to get a quote on your behalf (I will forward our artwork to the supplier that has been approached).
With regards to the rubbish bags, no it hasn't been thought of yet. To be honest, Brett and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get heaps and heaps of different merchandise for everyone to pick and choose from however the dominating factor is $'s. Contrary to popular belief, Myswag is privately owned and funded by Brett. It is not sponsored by anyone, businesses don't pay to advertise here, people who advertise in the classifieds are not charged to do so etc. To get the stock that we have, he has outlayed bulk personal money (I'm talking four digit figure here and it doesn't start with 1, 2, 3 or 4). Yes we do sell the Merchandise for a small profit (and I mean minimal) as this is how we try and raise some $'s to pay the Server Fees (we recently changed servers to accommodate for the Forum's ever expanding size and to keep it nice and fast). In some instances Members have asked for a particular product (like the flags for example) and research has been done, potential suppliers approached, artwork drawn up, price per item worked out etc and then Members have been asked to indicate if they would fairdinkum purchase one if we were to go ahead and order them in bulk (to make it cheaper for Members). In the case of the flags, we had x amount of people indicate they would (we didn't ask for a deposit or anything) but after we ordered them, paid for them and got them here, not even 60% of the Members actually came through.
Mate, I am more than happy to look into the Rubbish Bags and get quotes and come back to you, I sincerely am cause I love the Forum and love the Members and get an absolute buzz when I see the logo on a tug or CT out on the road. But in order to actually order them, I would need payment up front from anyone who wanted one as any money in Myswag's Kitty now is reserved to pay Server Fees which are due later in the year. This process would mean that it could be up to 2 months before you actually got one as we would have some steps to take:
1. Put out an EOI to Members to see who would buy one so that we had a figure to barter with potential suppliers with
2. Research suppliers and get quote
3. Come back to Members with details of choices of products and approx price
4. Confirm which supplier we will go with
5. Allow time for Members to pay up front for product
6. Pay Supplier so they start making them
7. Receive goods at Myswag HQ
8. Dispatch goods to Members
