Hate to ask, as myswag seems to meet most of my needs, but anyone know of other forums aimed more at caravans?  exploroz has some great features, but the forum is, shall we say, a bit crap, in both layout and content.

I fear asking questions regarding caravans will be seen as cluttering up what is meant to be a camper trailer forum  :-[

I am also a membre of caravanners forum: http://caravanersforum.com/

I must say that this forum is more friendlier, and, at 38 I would probably be the youngest member there by about 30 years!

Caravaners Forum ? Beat me to it... ;D
Not a bad site.

Thanks.  And with me at 37, you're now probably the second youngest :)

I look at the caravaners forum as well, but be warned - they get cranky when they get old.

Talking about forums and I'm new to this, is myswag affiliated with campertrailer.org ?

Is there much difference between the sites or is it just another camper trailer group?

Genuine question here.

No affiliation, although there are a lot of people who are members of both sites.  There is a bit of difference between them, campertrailers.org seem to cater more for the 'mature' generation and myswag.org caters for us :)

Is there any other camper trailer groups or just the two. I don't have much time for too many forums with long work hours, study and family ( like many people) so what little time I can spare for surfing forums I want a small handful that covers alot of outdoor interests.

This site seems to cover a wide mix

Never heard of this site so thanks, I'll check it out.

At the rate this site is attracting members, I'd say we are topping all of them.

Getting the numbers in is pretty good, what's your turn over rate like, do you keep most members, loose them to other sites, do you get many abandon/ end their membership for other forums or reasons.

What's the average length of time your members have been involved in the forum site.

Try www.campertrailers.org

Good luck to the other forums, diversity is good and necessary. Some of our members will come and go, visit other sites, maybe even camp in a tent  >:D, but a core of members will keep on contributing.

That's a fair call, and sounds like a reflection of most forum interest groups e.g fishing, 4x4, hiking, motorbikes, boating. Usually find members join a number of the same groups and change patterns of usage depending on personal factors e.g. Family, work, changing interests.

Diversity is a great thing.

I guess that that makes us immature, or unmature or just plan crazy, either way I prefer this one. Less "moderation" than others means that members can voice their opinions without being ridiculed & silenced.
