There is a bit of that happening around Melbourne at the moment.
All these trees after being in drought for so long all dried out. Probably cant handle the extra weight of being drenched with water

A similar thing happend across the road from work the other day, large branch about 600mm diameter dropped for no reason and took out the fence, just missed the house. Took around 4 hours to cut it up and put it through the chipper. The branch was rotted in the core
