Hi.  In looking at www pages listing 4wd twin cab ute around three years old in the Sydney area dealers sometimes list a drive away price.  If the price is not listed as drive away what extra costs (other than insurance and any mods) am I up for before driving away with my new (to me) ute.

Thanks

Davepatrol

I think the drive away prices are for new vehicles meaning that rego, Detailing & dealer delivery is already in the price.Cheers Dave..

with used vehicles the price is it, less any neogations/trade. plus tranfer fee and stamp duty. some times you maybe able to get the dealer to pay the stamp duty and transfer if your lucky.

Dealer paid rego transfer and stamp duty on my recent NS Paj. Effectively a $2k discount for me. ;D
I got a sweater for Xmas, really wanted a moaner or screamer.

Only the stamp duty is additional for a second hand car.

I think RTA charge 3% of purchase price.  If you want to transfer number plates, ie keep ones you already have, then last time we bought a car that was an extra $50.

If you want to know what it might cost you in the coming months or years, call in at ARB and take a calculator with you...  Not hard to clock up $20K in after market bits!
