I don't have any of them, have looked and wished but I already have a few axes, shovels etc and, for once, couldn't justify buying another of each. I know a few chaps on here who have the shovel and rate them highly.

I don't have one of the shovels which your asking about, however I've got one of these Rugged tool kits, and whilst the idea of having the shovel and extra bits and pieces stored away in a handy bag was good, in reality carrying a full size shovel on the roof-rack is far more practical and quicker to access.

Ian's gear is top notch. It is so good ARB/Bushranger even copied his shovel, it is a poor copy though as the handle doesn't line up with the shovel all the time. I've owned the previous version of the shovel holder and it was excellent. I believe he is also working on an upgrade to his shovel.

thanks ..

i've drooled over those products many times... the price just throws me..

does it seriously need to be $200 for that shovel/axe holder.. i'm sorry, but really that expensive?

otherwise they look great..

If it is good quality & works well the price doesn't bother me that much

I would rather pay more for something well made that works rather than waste less money on something that doesn't

Only when you've got your raccoon skin hat on though. ;D

I have the shovel/axe holder and am very happy with it, I just have a Bunnings axe and long handle shovel and to make it fit nice and tight I just drilled another hole where the handles fit. Trying to fit a long handled shovel in a C/T is a real pain so this unit is worth the money to me.

i agree.. to a point though.. i'm not generally one to shy away based on price, but seriously.. it's a bit of bent steel in the right shape. if they aren't making $100-$150 on that item i would be surprised..

I have the Combo Shovel and it is excellent, quality and practicallity is worth every cent and it folds down and is kept behind the seat so it is always ready for use, as for the axe I find a Chainsaw
easier to use,

I too have the shovel combo and am very happy with it.  It's great that it is stored shorter than a long handled shovel (which basically has to go o nthe roof) as it makes it much more versatile.

Wow just had a look at the first link and thought $200 for the axe shovel and holder what a great deal, then I read on :(
As much as I love spending money on the 4B and camper I just cant justify $200 for the holder only but it sure does look like a gucchi bit of kit.

I too have the shovel - but bought a quality axe from Bunnings at a much cheaper price than this one.

The shovel is fantastic.
