Can anyone tell me please whether the Newell is open ALL the way through.
I would ideally like to hear from anyone who has travelled the Newell in the past few days.
I know there are websites from RTA and NSW Govt advising road conditions but trying to navigate through some of the websites is a nightmare.
I am driving from Melbourne to Brisbane late next week. Hopefully some of the flooding will subside by then.
Thanks for any information.
Cheers
Heard on local ABC, that Dubbo isn't too flash at the moment, Narandra will be copping Wagga's problems next week, so it may be touch and go through the southern parts of the Newell, it is believed that the western slopes will be getting an hammering over the weekend with the Northern East of NSW and SWQ coping it from sunday through to tuesday.
You can check with the SES web site and NRMA, if desperate, the local council of the areas you are travelling through, also copy the local ABC radio guide of the ABC web site and tune in when travelling, if you have a smart phone, dial up web sites, BOM and Weather Watch, they have allerts as well.
Good luck and happy trails....
