Got a new ceramic glass top for my stove top coz some stupid idjit dropped a glass bottle on it (allegedly me)

Arrived yesterday. Had this warning.
Remember if you need to glass someone, do it with care

Hi,
    A warm burning smell preceded a violent shattering of ours. Always double check the flame is out before lowering the lid.
I nearly shattered myself too.
