Okay, so I'm new here. Not just to MySwag but to forums in general. So i want my first ever post/thread thingy to be a thank you to a number of members who have already given me a heap of help. I've asked them lots of questions by just sending them messages, and the replies have been swift and detailed. For this I am most grateful.

you see, we spent 15 years or so in tents followed by another 10 in a Cameron Camper where the only luxury was a lift up bed to access the trailer. Most recently we had a Jayco Penguin for 2 years but found that whilst we loved many things about it, we missed the cooking and living outside. So it has now gone too.

Spent 4 days at the Rosehill show in April and finally settled on a Lifestyle camper AT-11(AT-10 EVO). Seemed to have everything we wanted or we were able to add it. Only problem was there was none at the show. We loved the Reconn and thought the AT-10 a touch small and the 12 a touch large. We ordered one anyway and should pick it up early September.

In the meantime I had been reading the posts on this forum and messaging those who already owned an LCT to find out what works and what we don't need. A really big thank you to

These 2 souls have been awesome in sharing information and answering questions.

My biggest thank you must go to
Silvo

This legend invinted us to his house where we spent 2 hours checking out how he had his van set up. After 2 years ownership and many, many trips he was able to give us some great feedback on things he found that worked and things he would have had done earlier with a little hindsight. Our van will still be a little different from his (aren't they all ?) but we still have time to make some changes to our configuration. What a champion, I owe you a cold one when we meet on the trail  :D

Brilliant write up.

Same for us when we were looking at our first camper.  I sent a message to a swagger for a few comments about Vacation campers as he mentioned on a thread that he owned one.  Couldn't believe it when he offered for us to come over and have a look.
Arrived and he had it out of the garage so we set it up and packed it down together.  So many great tips along the way.    We bought ours within a month.

Well done those members who have assisted b1.   And congratulations b1 on your choice of a Lifestyle camper.

Hi B1, not sure if this has already been mentioned but you will also need a NSW blue slip to get it registered. Lifestyle had not organized this nor informed me.  After a sat morn pickup from lifestyle I made it to tweed RMS in the afternoon on my QLD unregistered vehicle permit. After being rejected for new registration due to no blue slip it was then a mad panic to find someone open that could do the slip.
I managed to luckily find this nice young mobile guy locally at Banora Point.  He saved my day with 20 mins before Rms closed.
His contact details
Jared Weates of Weates Mobile Safety Certificates. He is on Gumtree
Weatesmobile@bigpond.com

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chesterd

I'll make sure we leave enough time for the blue slip. Did LCT give you the Qld unregistered vehicle permit or is something you arranged before heading up ?

We will have to start the Shire chapter of the LCT owners club

Hi B1, yes talk to Christina at Lifestyle. She will organize it for you. About $30.
