Our soft floor Cavalier got picked up these week, no trips until the Reconn pickup at the end of August. No camper, no mods to do, no trips, this might mean home renovations.

don't know which would be more depressing - looking out the window and seeing an empty space where the camper was, or like us here in chilly Canberra gazing out the window at one when its too cold to use...

Gives you some time to work on/modify the 4x4 ready for the new camper  :cup:

Use a tent to go away in...have done both The Cape and Simpson in a tent with our family, not as comfy as using a camper, but gets you out there still.

My days in tents are finished, never sleep well in them

sounds like a few more liquid refreshments of choice were required before bed time then...lol

Roof top tent.  As comfortable to sleep in as a camper minus  the modcons.  Plus sometimes it's nice not to have to drag 1500kg behind you.

It is not about when you finish drinking, it's about when you start

Ha, I'm lucky to get a good nights sleep at home on the innerspring...or camping on the innerspring in the camper......so unless there was a LOT of beer involved, anything but an innerspring for these oldish bones is not on !!   ;D

No amount of liquid sedation is enough to see me through a night on anything but an inner spring... yes, I know, soft, that's why I just bought a hybrid, which my mates are all delighting in bagging as a caravan. My only response is that caravans have windows, the reconn doesn't and caravans only go 80 km/h

I'm a soft Queenslander so ours only gets used 8 or 9 months of the year anyway as in winter it just sits in the garage. As previously mentioned get all your jobs around home done so when replacement arrives and the weather warms up, there isn't any excuses.

oh poor you...! we don't even seem to manage three months a year out of ours - travel time and distance being our biggest issue
