Falken A/T Tyres. Anyone used 'em
« on: March 07, 2015, 06:58:55 AM »
It looks like the Jeep will get a set tyres shortly. Anyone used the Falkens and how did they go?

We currently run a 235/70 x 16 but a 245/70 x 16 should go in fine, so I may opt for that.
I did work in Bob Jane for 5 years, but that was over with back in 2003 and i'm guessing/hoping there has been a bit of an improvement in 12 years of tyres in general.

The Falkens are only $189.00 each, so price is goooooooood.

Any thoughts guys and girls?

Could you get 245/75/16's to fit?  About 40mm larger in diameter than your current ones.  There are tons more options with this size, especially in LT spec and probably price.  Never really heard much about Falkens, good or bad.  You usually only hear the bad stories.

Mate, for a Jeep, a set of Bob's finest. Bob Jane All Rounders. They're perfect for a Jeep.  :D
Or a set of Wanlee's. They're good for a Jeep too.

Personally I'd steer clear of the Falkens. At $180 a pop, you'll never regain that outlay on resale. 4 of those will double the value of the vehicle and would be throwing good money at bad.  ;D

Maybe a second hand set for it? Don't want to see you over capitalise on the Jeep IMHO.
