Especially important if you have kids and you want to control how and when hey get money, who they live with and when they get total control of whatever assets you leave behind. Ours cost us about $3k in the end, but there was a family trust involved, we specific wanted to name people to be the kid's guardians, control the money, assign an allowance for the kids to be taken on OS trips to keep showing the kids the world, specifically disallow a particular person from having any decision making with regards to the kids, schooling, what happens if one of us dies and one is badly injured and can't make decisions for a period of time, who is it that can make instant decisions in those circumstances.
