Hi all,

I have a aquacube logic the i purchased recently and am finding the min temp of the shower too hot. Its sitting around the 40-42 deg c when showering. We cant use it with the kids as it is too hot. Wondering if anyone else has the same problem? I assume it is due to flow rate from the pump, and might need to install i higher flow rate pump?

Any thoughts?

Hi Ben

I have one and it works fine.  Being from VIC I sometimes find the temp isn't warm enough.  I have discovered that the the temperature of the water coming out is dependent on the on the temperature of the water going in.  I have found that it increases the water temp by around 20 degrees.  When the water is under 10 degrees I recycle it back into the jerry to warm it up and then have a shower.  Works a treat.

With your issue I am assuming the water going in is over 20 - 25 degrees causing the temp to be over 40.  I would suggest keeping the water container in the shade to keep it cooler.  Maybe that will help.

It does seem strange that it is heating up so much on the lowest setting though.

HI, thanks the reply. That makes a bit more sence now, yes my water temp going in is around 25C so 20 increase matches up. i thought it inly incased it by 11, so 20 is matching up more around what I am getting (real world) Might have to try putting some ice in water as that is what my water temp is out of the tap.

Just for records if anyone happens to come across this thread later, my issue was a flow restrictor in the shower head. I removed the hose, took out a little flow restrictor which increased my flow rate and now able to maintain a lower temp. I will keep the restrictor so i can go back in if i happen to need to increase the min temp at a later date.

ours works fine for temp.

I've zip tied a bit of panty hose over the pick up to keep crap out of it.

I bought one of these showers yesterday, and I have the same issue.  The water is WAY too hot to shower with at the lowest heat level.  I tested it out and it hurt!  Granted, I'm also in QLD and the water temp going in is warm, but I'm wondering where in Australia, in the summer, would the water temp (even in a container sitting in the shade) be under 20 in the day?

Searching for a good hour yesterday, I couldn't find anyone else on the internet who had this same issue - is it possible that this is a thermostat problem?

Anyway, I'd love to know how you removed the flow restrictor as I can't see how to do this? 

Doesn't removing the flow restrictor mean you go through an awful lot of water for a shower?

I have thought of just recirculating into the container until a reasonable temp is reached and then shutting down the gas and just running the pump with no heat, but I feel this kinda defeats the purpose of the thing!

Sounds like they have fixed the issues with the earlier ones, couldn't get hot enough.

Yes, it is definitely hot enough!  Scalding hot to be precise.  I am taking it back this weekend, I really don't think it should get this hot  on the lowest setting.  I even tried using water from the inside tap, which is a little cooler, like 23 or something, but it quickly heats up to over 50...

It's funny, because the manual says you are not supposed to use water above 20 degrees but then in the manual all the pictures show the intake temp as 21 - 23.
