When a dual cab just ain't big enough?
« on: November 15, 2013, 12:47:52 AM »
Never seen one of these in real life before. Ford F650 triple cab ute.

Local high school had their graduation evening the other night, with the usual procession of interesting vehicles delivering the smiling couples - mustangs, Camaros, hot rods, GT 40 replicas, a truck, bus, icecream van etc
No monster truck this year, but the F650 was pretty close.

Typically American,  excessive and over the top ...but I'd love to have a drive just once ;D ;D ;D

You know what I'm gonna do?
I'm gonna get myself a 2013 Ford F650 Triple Cab
Hot pink with whaleskin hub caps and all leather cow interior
And big brown baby seal eyes for headlights, yeah
And I'm gonna drive around in that baby at 115 mph

Getting one mile per gallon, sucking down quarter pounder
Cheese burgers from McDonald's in the old fashioned
Non-biodegradable Styrofoam containers
And when I'm done sucking down those grease ball burgers

;D  Yeah, I would love to drive one, just once. That thing is massive!!! (thats what all the girls say)

I can't see the picture on my work computer but I can guess what it looks like. I have seen black one in north western Sydney a few times on Old Windsor Road around Newbury.

i saw that truck parked across the road from where i was working about 3 or 4 months back here in Brisbane, it's insane how big it is. the huge  fuel tanks bolted down the side of it makes me think fuel economy is not something the owner worries about...lol

I have driven the single cab version of this. 475 hp  4wd. It was rebadged as a Stirling, with a crane on it  ;D

They are pretty much a truck body and chassis with what ever the engine/gearbox combo it has (I'm guessing an Allison auto?). The one I drove had a Detroit series go with an 18 speed road ranger with an 18m/t crane. Probable a lot better interior than the stinky old Stirling though
