HID light Ballast
« on: August 27, 2013, 03:45:01 PM »
Hoping someone can answer my question.

I have a set of 225 series Nite stalker HID driving lights and one of them keeps shutting down after being turned on for around 30 seconds and have been told Its the ballast, problem is when I ring Nite stalker supplier they dont seem to stock them?????

Ive noticed on ebay you can buy 2 x Xenon 35watt slimline ballast for around $30, the connectors look the same but is it as simple as just replacing this?

Any help appreciated

Mate if you have compared what you have, against what you have seen on ebay, and they are the same, then I would grab them, I had the same prob with a set myself and found a ballast on ebay the same as I had, bought it, fitted it, and worked like a charm, never had another drama.

If you have a plug and play type set up, its as easy ripping the old one out, and replacing it with the new one.

What Swanny said, and maybe cheaper. I have been buying whole kits for $28 delivered recently.
