Hi All

Can you believed we've just driven hundreds of miles to get to Alice Springs and Uluru only to find it raining.  It seems that the only place it is raining in Australia is in the centre.

So now we have 5 kids who are bored.

Can anyone suggest some things to do in the rain?

Would love to see Uluru when it was raining.

You probably will be gone next Sunday but if not at the Heavitree Gap Tavern on a Sunday they have a Sunday Roast the roast Camel is beautiful anyway they have a couple guys I think called the Roadies that do a sendup show that is the biggest laugh and halfway through there is a free reptile show which is also very informative for the kids. All this is free and get there about 5:30 to get a seat as they arrive by the bus load.Just Something to think about but PH the Tavern for info its been about 3 yrs since I went.

Reptile Centre, really good show, where the kids can hold some of the reptiles, all in doors.

Would love to see the rock in the rain :)

Well at least it stopped raining last night. Are you going to the Desert Park. It is really very good and make sure you are there for the raptor display, where they fly the birds of prey. Could be a fun trip to Chambers Pillar if the road dries out. That happens pretty quickly here.

There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

Transport museum is worth a look.  We only did the truck section and lost half a day there (the other half was trains).  Lots under cover.  Truck section had a thorough range of Kenworths.
