For me, i have to have liquid refreshments.... and a camp oven.... as we all know, cooking up a storm over an open fire is hot work, hence having the coldies at hand is essential.... Oh and somewhere dry and comfy to sleep, whether thats a swag or a CT is really neither here or there once you snoring!!

Couple of fans. We have 2 of the ryobi one fans and they have been a life saver the last couple of nights in 1770. Some good lighting. We've been using a string of little lantern lights we got from bcf Coleman brand I think they are, and a remote controlled disc type one from bcf as well. Broom, rake to get rid of sticks and stuff before you set up camp. Fridge if you can, and however much beer you think you need double it lol.
We packed what we thought we'd need and been buying bits and pieces as we travel (great bit of advice we picked up from here)
Cheers

$150 Jackaroo + $1600 CT = One helluva happy family!

Bottle of Port for medicinal purposes.

Like nomad a backup pair of thongs.
And the most important of all, the poles for the tent/camper (yes they did get forgotten on a trip to Landcruiser Park. Most embarrassing)

YYoull Ned the following:
12v kettle
12v hair Straightener
12v hair dryer
solar shower
Fridge stand
camp kitchen fold up type

I'm sure there's a few other 'essentials ' to improve the camping experience..........

Indeed. The hair straighter is always useful if one is gonna be shot for the cover of Vogue Magazine whilst camping.... ;D ;D

After you wade through the humorous stuff above, you'll find that indeed, everyone's important essentials are different.

When I go camping, I need to be sure we have complete privacy, can get the solar panels out, take the dogs, and are on a water course or hole in the middle of nowhere.  Some people can't go camping without taking another entire neighbourhood with them and all the comforts of home ... yes ... including the pool table   ;D

Cheers for all the replies, got some great ideas. With the CT now n play I can obviously take more beer, wine & Mother (for the inevitable hangover).

Does anyone use the techni ice packs in their eskis and are the any good? Wondering if it is worth getting a few for the car esky as much cheaper than a car fridge.
Got the bug, try & stop me!!

a good car fridge is an investment. And once you have one you'll laugh at those with an esky

Techni Ice.. plenty of threads on them... The ones I had not long ago were Shit, and leaked and everythign was covered in crap from them....
