Do Waecos need regassing
« on: December 14, 2012, 10:28:19 AM »
I have a waeco CF80 that is almost 5 years old

Harked it up for the xmas get away now with the baffles in i set the temp for the freezer at -12 which keep the fridge section at about 4

So harked it up the other day nothing in the freezer bit and some beers in the fridge bit setit to -12 and all is good

Yesterday stuck all the meat in now the meat is frozen but if i try to set the freezer any lower than -6 it just seems to run constantly

Any idea as to what is going on would be well appreciated

Being a compressor fridge it uses gas.  However it would only ever need re-gassing if it has leaked via damage or broken seal etc which doesn't happen very often.  If it is not working properly would suggest some cause other than low in gas.

Try filling the fridge & freezer compartments fully and see what happens then.  They dont like running half empty much.
