Shaving - Secret mens business

Buggar shaving, women say that men with beards are hiding something, not me, only my ugly face. Every time i get what hair i have remaining cut i get a no2 on the beard. Every time i go to the barber (hairdressers are for poofs  ) i have less hair to cut yet the price keeps going up!.

Blades cut me up too so I've been trimming to .5mm for a while now with one of those electric trimmers with a digital length adjustment from .5mm up to 6mm.

Dazzler - I had a crack at the denim jeans idea and................mmmm.

To be honest I think the razor felt sharper before I 'denimed it'. Having said all of that, the jeans now look absolutely fantastic!

Well, at least it wasn't a complete waste of time!

Quick trick - you can strop a razor on your arm. Ie, run it down backwards with medium pressure half a dozen times before you use it. It won't put an edge back on, but neither will a proper leather strop. It will flatten out any small nicks through. I reckon it makes a difference.

I gave up on multi-bladed cartridge razors years ago, and scored an old skool double-edged safety razor as a birthday present. Blades are dirt cheap (they're just razor blades, after all), they last me a lot longer, and you get a good shave to boot. Honestly, it's not as close a shave as a 5 bladed one, and you've got to take a bit longer and be a bit more careful. Overall though, I love it.

Interesting to see these razor pit things do work though - I'm sure they would have a lot of blokes (and hairy women) interested in them.
