Hi All,

I will spare you all the details of how bad the weather was and how there were no fish up at Sandy Cape but here are a few pic's anyway.

We ended up heading up to the Cape in between tides and had to take all of the cuttings to make it up there. It was a little bit interesting seeing as we were fully loaded. So with out adieu .......

The Damage done waiting for the barge :D

Our Camp with the rest of the my swaggers

The terrible camping conditions awaiting you up the Cape

View out from camp

The start of another night on Fraser

This photo was taken about 10 minutes before something rather large spooled 300m of line off of my rod and continued on running taking my rod and the rod holder with it leaving no trace.

The terrible fishing conditions faced by us.

Just how small does a fully loaded 80 series look next to a new 200 series ???

Thanks
yogi

Johnny Trackabout

I feel sorry for you mate absolutely horrible conditions  :-[ :-[

Cheers

Karen

Yogi,

Well we didn't want to make you all jealous ;D ....... to tell the truth "Fishbitch" got sick of scaling, gutting and filleting all of the fish we had caught. Oh and taking them off the end of my line too :D He actually wants me to keep it quiet just how good it is as we only saw one day tripper and a couple of people going up to visit friends that were looking after the light house during our stay. We had the place to ourselves 8)

Due to popular demand ..... Here is what a usual day up the Cape consists of.

Before breakfast.

After breakfast.

Throwing a few lures out over lunch. (We must have landed 20 – 30 easy. Plus the 2 big flathead that "Fishbitch" almost landed)

We kept a couple for bait that night.

A quick session after lunch.

Not to mention "The one that got away" after eating my rod and rod holder later that night.

Nice litle snubbie there yogi, bet you noticed that it pulled a little harder than the other dart, they go like stink when they get bigger, might be an explanation for your missing rod.

Glad to see you come good with some evidence there Yogi!

Berg

Yogi we are keen to get up there and into that action for sure....

I hear Yogi might be planning a trip..... ;) just a rumour I'm starting  ;D

MnMs

Great pics Yogi......the Cape really is a peaceful part of Fraser, though we have only got to the top once over the last 5 or so years. The calmer blue water is spectacular.  :cup:

We envy you guys for making the effort to go up there.

Berg ......... sounds like a plan. We should make the Fraser "Mysway" trip an annual event !!!!

MnMs .......... we put the invite out to anyone interested in doing the lighthouse or some fishing to drop by for a few cold refreshments ;D But Fraser is such a big place with so much to do that you can't do everything in one visit 8)

There was talk of another Cruiser Park visit for the 4x4'ers and fire bug's amongst us >:D Let me know if anyone is interested we will do it in the cooler months so we can have a fire to sit around at night and have a few cold ones :D

yogi

Berg

Put me down for another trip to Cruiser  so long as we can have a fire this time... :'(

Brett

If we can push LCMP to late 2010 then I'm keen.
Cheers
