Having lots of friends on farcebook is the same as having lots of money in monopoly...means absolutely nothing!!

This tells me that my decision to keep my 10/2014 3ltr Prado has been a good move...

Yes why I chose my Challenger of that vintage as they drop engine cubes and rev them up for emissions to meet Euro5-

They're all getting more fragile for the flippers and leasers
I believe for a keeper you want to fit new genuine Denso injectors to them all around 160k if you know what's good for your engine
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

Yes - I'm banking on shelling out for new injectors around the 150k mark - but my mechanic is also keeping an eye on the injector values to be sure.
I'm now up to 75k kms in 6 years - so I might have some time to save some $'s before they're due :)

Just an effort to stop more people suing them. We did at work and got our 15/16 models (all out of warranty) swapped for 2020 models. Hilux is the gift that keeps on giving.

God! Aren't we all lucky that this is a Toyota problem! Imagine the vitriol and crap spewed forth by Toyota owners, if this was Nissan, Land Rover or Jeep. This thread would be up to page 495.

I feel sorry for the forum member whose 'cruiser engine blew up recently but it was treated as 'Bad Luck' by most.
What a load of bollocks.

I don't keep cars that long, so all good, a couple more years, and i'll see what the next model is like. Or a P400 defender. No more modern diesels for me.
