I use a garden hose..  Even drink out of the one at home......no bad taste !!

The missus didn't like the plastic taste from the tanks in the van when we 1st bought it, so I put a filter inline just before the kitchen. Reminds me, maybe I should think about changing it one day...only 5 yrs old ??

Hi,
If you have any clear plastic piping in the water circuits it will grow a stagnant tasting algae.
Replace it with black poly pipe or cover it with black tape to stop the algae growing.
Cheers

I think I saw a 20m blue drinking hose at Aldi for $20 earlier today.

Yep, definitely saw one there last week.

Got one myself a year or so back & it's great :D

Bunnings also have 10M and 20M. rolls of food grade 1/2" water hose.
From memory you have to buy fittings separately and then fit them when you get it all home.

Just took the advice off this thread and bought one of the blue/white drinking hoses.

Anyone had any issues with them 4 years on?

It is definitely the blue drinking hose!

It is alright for filling the tanks after flushing before hand. The taste that I get may be the result of living in a hot climate.

Noticed when staying at caravan parks, and using the hose to connect to town supply, that there is a definite unpleasant taste and a oily film on top of a cuppa. Yuck!

Bought a new drinking water house today from Kimberley Camping and Outback Supplies in Broome.  A Camec brand, drinking water hose.

Since I previously posted on this topic I replaced all the original hoses on my Kimberley Kamper and it solved the taste problems with the on board water supply.

I'll see how it goes!
Cheers,

Tom.
