Austrack campers thoughts
« on: October 19, 2016, 10:40:56 PM »
Hi all I'm looking at buying a new rear fold camper trailer, leaning towards a Austrack , I can't find much feedback on them so really after people's thoughts as I'm new to these camper trailers.
What are some other options for around $20,000
Cheers chris

I bought a roof top tent off them. I have no complaints.

I haven't looked at their trailers though, so can't really comment.

We have an Austrack Offroad Camper and have been very happy with it.  Great value for money.

They have two lines of trailers, one made locally and one made overseas.  Tale your pick.  I chose the local build.

The tent is standard Chinese canvas, but it has stood up to some very extended use including 16 campsites in 21 days over 6000km.  We are glad we went with the smaller of the two tents, even with a family of five.

We ditched the tailgate kitchen in favour of a Drifta ply kitchen.  Very happy with that.  Well worth the $1000.

The trailer is rock solid and even took a hit with a kangaroo at 100km/h with hardly a dent.

We can set the tent up in less than 10min and the whole campsite up in less than 30min.  Break camp takes around 45min.

Total cost including the drifta kitchen and personal mods was $12k.
