Growing old is inevitable - growing up is optional.

Having run a P&L, I can understand his logic of trying to trade out of difficulties. All businesses will get to a point where they will have cash flow problems, some will be temporary some will be permanent. However the red flag should have been, if the banks won't finance you, you need to seriously look at your business before you end up in this situation.

I feel sorry for the buyers who are now out of pocket, have no camper, and no chance of seeing their hard earned money. It's hard to get a handle on the finances of private companies, especially when you are spending a lot of $ like this. There's no real easy way to understand if the business is running positive cash flow.

Caveat Emptor.

Yeah. ...    the courts made a clear statement in this case....

Total freakn joke....

"so that no business thought it would be acceptable to take deposits from other victims - so to trade themselves out of financial difficulties. ...."

"NO CONVICTION WAS RECORDED"   ........    BS

Whatever happened to Debtors' Prison - where he would have been deposited until which time a relative may have possibly  come along and paid out his debt...???????

You get out and in to the world -- you take more @#&$. ...You climb a little higher, ..you take less @#&$.  ...Till one day -- you're up in the rarefied atmosphere -- and you've forgotten what @#&$ even looks like....  Welcome to the layer cake son.

I'd say they should start by taking the shirt off his back first.

Very very said story for the mums and dads who have lost,

First the judge says no one will ever see a cent then the fair trading pull their owns DIC#s  about issuing a strong message with a fine ..which will also never be paid ...WTF.

I never want to sound like a keyboard warrior but surely he should be walking with a limp for the rest of his life to remind him not to rip people off.

The world has lost its way and I do feel sorry for the Mirage victims.

It is off this topic but supporting the way of our current world. I cannot believe that someone who knows they are HIV positive, understands the risk of transmission during unprotected sex and conceals their disease from a partner of 19 months does not meet the requirement of intent and as such not charged with intentional transmission but rather the 'accidental' grievous bodily harm.
