Butane stove case

Hi Everyone
We often use one of the little $15.00 (or so) stoves that take the butane cylinders when we travel. They put out a huge amount of heat and the cylinders are fairly economical at just over $1.00 each.
The problem we've found, however, is the poor quality plastic cases they usually come in. I've broken quite a few over the years by dropping them, or accidentally packing something hard or sharp up against the case. On the last trip I ended up storing the stove in one of those $1.00 supermarket bags.
I know if I got to work I could probably build myself a carry case out of ply that would withstand the knocks, but I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a case with a bit of strength to store the stove in?

I use the u-bute butane stove and it comes with a hard plastic carry case which is perfect for travelling and storing

Does it have to be a solid case? How about a canvas bag with some pieces of ply to hold it's shape?

one of those aluminium tool cases from jaycar and the like for small tools etc with the latch. u see the IT and data guys usually have them for their small tools and so fourth.

jaycar also have 'pelican' style cases that are really strong...

I've been thinking about modifying a jerrycan to store them in, then sticking them in the holder.

I have two jerrycan holders and no use for jerrycans with the camping I do.

Try an electrical repair place that does / sells work tools ... Might find a few Makita / black n decker type plastic cases that you can trim the shaped inners out of.
I use one for my 12V lights and gear .

Can't say I've had a drama. I have 2 of those stoves and they must be over 2 years old. Still in there original case. I gets thrown around in my work ute in amounst all my tools.
I suggest you give jeepers solution ago. It should solve you problem

if you take more then one. Ive found they fit perfectly in a milk crate which gives it good protection and makes it a big easier to pack too
