If the mines pay for it, it will be petty cash...

The mining companies aren't totally stupid.. They won't fund this...

The Northern Expressway connector would be much better value for the state, to connect the Port River Expressway to the Northern Expressway. I still cant work out why they didn't do it to begin with.

Big things are afoot in regards to Gas, I reckon this will get up soonish.
I remember Strezelecki as the prettiest desert I had seen, Ive seen lots more now and would love to go back.

The government have now got to fix the new bottle neck they have created with the merge lanes from South Road onto Port River Expressway. It's already bumper to bumper and 30km's below the speed limit between South Road and Port Wakefield Hwy in peak hour and it's only just opened.

It's already happening in 5km sections. I would think that the gas companies will foot some of the bill as currently when it rains they can't get anything in or out for days on end.

They might be talking about the newer section of road wich goes all the way from the Merty Merty turnoff to Moomba then cuts across towards the Dullingari gas satelite via the Della gas field then across to innamincka via the dyllons highway, bypassing all of the "old stez track". Reason i say this is the northern section of the strez track is closed to all Santos related vehicles at all times and the southern section is rarely used by santos as all contractor traffic is directed down the Adelaide road to the Merty Merty turnoff then into the gas fields that way, and not to mention this way is far quicker and a FAR better road. doubt they will seal the old Strez Track. There has however been talk for a fair while of sealing the road from Innamincka to the Queensland Border.
